Scripture Reference: Genesis 3:14; John 8:36ff
In Genesis 3, God was speaking addressing the serpent. He cursed the snake saying it would move upon its belly and that its seed and the seed of the woman would be at war. In this scripture, we discover two seeds; the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman.
What is the seed of the woman? Israel.
Then in the book of John, we read of a certain time where Jesus was ministering to a group of people and He discerned that though they looked like people, they were not. Here Jesus distinguished between two Fathers and two seeds. These people thought they were the seed of Abraham, but Jesus rejected them for they had a different father. You can be next to someone and think they are a human being like you, yet they are not - some are serpents.
We may have people who are in church, some even posing as men of God, but they are not the seed of God. How can one fight what is of God if he is of the seed of God? This is how we know. Jesus said, "If God were your father, you would love me...".
