Zindagi Ek Juaa had music by Bappi Lahiri, who had worked in Prakash Mehra's previous films Namak Halaal and Sharaabi This was the first time in years Mehra collaborated with someone other than Kalyanji Anandji. He chose Bappi Lahiri because of his unique blend of technological influences in his music. Bappi Lahiri still calls it his most underrated album yet.

Synopsis:-
After saving the life of his employer, Jagjit Singh, alias J.J., Harikishan is promoted with a wage increase that he had only dreamt of. Anxious to please his employer, Harikishan agrees to have his name changed to Harry, and does anything that he is instructed to do. Soon Harry realises that he has been aiding his employer inillegal activities. When he tries to break away, he is told that his mother is and will be held captive to guarantee his cooperation. Harry must now come up with a scheme that will guarantee his safety as well as the freedom of his mom, and at the same time save himself from being arrested by the police.
Haria, a young villager comes to the city in search of a job and gets employed in a firm that deals in the lifekilling drugs in the garb of life saving drugs and of which he is not aware of. Juhi, the daughter of the firms proprietor J.J. falls in love with Haria and Marries him much against the wishes of her father. Haria, now known as harry, comes to know the horrifying truth of the trade and wants to get out of it but fails to do so because of a very strong dragnet, spread around him by J.J. A very close and equally powerful rival of J.J. named Bhalla, tries to lure Harry resulting in both the dons becoming blood thirsty of each other. Juhi, one day comes to know the devastating truth of the business her father and husband were involved in. Unable to bear the shock, she becomes a drug addict and that finally puts an end to her life. Dazed and dumbfounded Harry takes an oath to eliminate every culprit from the World of Drugs. Does he succeed in doing so?
